La Doccia is an idyllic place to have your wedding

La Doccia has hosted many weddings, accommodated dozens of honeymooners and had several wedding proposals made in the stunning settings. We'll make sure your wedding is a day to remember for you and all your guests. We can provide a wide range of wedding services and we work closely with a wedding organiser here who manages all the technical and legal matters. We offer complete assistance in what we feel is a very romantic wedding venue destination here in Tuscany.

The civil ceremony is held at the Comune's offices at the old Castle in the centre of Pelago and a religious ceremony can follow either here at La Doccia, against the backdrop of the stunning views over the Arno and Sieve valleys below us or at the lovely nearby church at Ferrano.

The castle at Pelago, where the civil service is held, was originally built back in the 11th Century when Pelago was founded as a small fortified hill top town on the old Cassian way from Florence to Arezzo.

Our Wedding Organiser can arrange either a full wedding service for couples of any denomination in one of the lovely country churches in this area or a simple blessing as wished as well as provide advice on all the legal and other necessary wedding formalities.

We can arrange the wedding reception on one of our terraces and can cater for up to 90 people for the wedding feast. We follow this with dancing to live music in the walled garden; the illuminated gardens create a wonderful ambience.

Pelago, near Florence

There is accommodation for between 20 and 24 people here at La Doccia and accommodation is readily available for additional guests at nearby hotels and country houses.
